Evan was just under two years old when his family learned he had a motor‑planning disability. Walking, coordination, and everyday tasks were harder than they should have been—but his parents believed that with the right support, Evan could grow in independence.

That journey led them to Joe’s Kids.

Through physical, occupational, and speech therapy, Evan began developing skills that mattered both in the clinic and in real life. Over the past 7 years he has gained strength, balance, and coordination and met many milestones. Recently he has learned to dress more independently, communicate more clearly, and approach challenges with confidence. One moment captured just how powerful that growth has been.

Recently, Evan confidently struck up a conversation with a construction worker in the building, asking questions and responding clearly—a small but powerful sign of how far he’s come.
