When Hope Took Its First Steps: Tori’s Story

When Tori was born, her family quickly learned that her path would look different. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy, Tori faced challenges with movement, speech, and independence from an early age. Like many parents in similar situations, her mom and dad held on to hope while learning to navigate uncertainty—wondering what milestones might come, and which ones might not.

She uses an eye gaze device to communicate, uses both hands to play with toys,  gains strength and balance through therapy, and brings joy into each session with her love of music, movement, and playful humor. Her therapists describe her as determined, observant, and motivated by connection—often watching other children closely and pushing herself to try what she sees them do.
